Asja.biz is active in the national market of energy efficiency certificates and offers its services to all the companies that are under an obligation to undertake energy saving initiatives pursuant to the applicable ministerial decrees (production activities and environment) of 20 July 2004.

Asja.biz is in possession of said certificates, also referred to as White Certificates, through the implementation of energy efficiency interventions according to the modalities specified by the law. Each white certificate stands for 1 ton of oil equivalent (Tep) saved. Asja.biz is accredited as ESCO (Energy Service Company) and as such is authorised to sell and purchase these certificates, either through bilateral agreements or through the platform managed by the Manager of the Electric Market.

White Certificates are issued by the Manager of the Electric Market at the request of the Authority upon the conclusion of a verification process designed to make sure that energy efficiency initiatives have actually been implemented in keeping with the provisions of the decrees and the regulations defined by the Authority itself.
The advantages offered by this new mechanisms include:

1) a reduction in GHG emissions (for purposes of compliance with the limits imposed by the Kyoto Protocol) and in the pollution levels arising from energy production and consumption

2) a reduction in energy expenditure for the final users
