from biomass to energy
Asja offers public and private companies alike the opportunity to build anaerobic digestion cogeneration plants to produce biogas to be used as fuel for green power and heat generation.
Asja designs, builds and manages plants using the following types of biomass:
The organic fraction of municipal solid waste is the material labelled as organic waste or “wet garbage” according to waste sorting and it accounts for approximately 40% of the overall waste expressed as weight. Kitchen leftovers (from households or others), waste from agri-food production and vegetable/fruit processing are but some examples.
Through a biochemical process known as anaerobic digestion, Asja turns the organic fraction of waste into biogas and digestate. Biogas is used as fuel to generate clean energy, while digestate can be used to produce high quality Compost for agricultural applications replacing chemical fertilizers.
Anaerobically digesting the organic fraction of urban solid waste makes it possible to:

Asja designs and builds ad hoc cogeneration plants opting for solutions that best meet specific needs or requirements.
Asja possesses in house all the skills needed to handle autonomously all the stages in the setting up of a cogeneration plant:
