Sansenergy project

Recovering matter and energy by means of the anaerobic digestion of residual biomass.

The project aims at developing the technical and scientific skills to build 1 MW electrical power stations, fed with the biogas from anaerobically digested residual biomass from agricultural and agro-industrial businesses deeply rooted in the territory of the Apulia region of Italy, with special focus on waste from olive oil mills.
The project was launched in December 2009 and it is still ongoing, in cooperation with the University of Salento, CNR-IRSA (Rome) and the  Politecnico di Torino.
