The Ecofood project is targeted at some regional agri-food supply chains with a view to promoting their environmental and energetic sustainability; special focus is given to combining increased attention for their environmental impact with safeguarding the Typicality, Environmental safety and Quality of the food from the Piedmontese companies involved. This is made possible thanks to the opportunities brought about by scientific development and leading edge technologies. The project’s final goal is the development of innovative technological solutions to improve ecoenvironmental and economic sustainability for the processes and products it covers, with great benefits in terms of competitiveness and image for the piedmontese agri-food supply chains.
